All aboard! The Pearlridge Express pulls into the station on Saturday, November 21 at 10 am. Hawaii’s only fully functioning scale-model locomotive, the Pearlridge Express runs daily from Novemer 21 through January 3, 2009 for keiki up to 48 inches tall and able to ride alone. The custom-built Pearlridge Express can hold up to 15 keiki at one time as it travels through the holiday wonderland of Uptown Center Court. Tickets are $3 per child per ride. For even greater value this year, 10-coupon Pearlridge Express ride booklets may be purchased for only $25 – a savings of $5.

Historians from the Hawaiian Railway Society will return to serve as docents at Pearlridge, sharing information on the historic OR&L, as well as offering insight into the workings of the Pearlridge Express.

Nov. 21 through 25: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thanksgiving: closed

Nov. 27 through Dec. 23: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Dec. 24: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Christmas: closed

Dec. 26 through Jan. 3: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
